My night light seems dimmer than it used to. Is it defective? White LED bulbs are known to gradually reduce in brightness over time, to as low as 40% of their original brightness. The newer night lights start out very bright, and are transparent enough to shed a good amount of light even as they dim. This is not a defect in the design or manufacture of the lights, but a natural consequence of using white LEDs.
